PROJECT ACTIVITIES

An interdisciplinary approach is adopted to study the history, classification and identity of European sacred landscapes, with their related archaeology and architecture, describing their past and present conditions and values over the centuries. Through discussion between partners and stakeholders, and the support of the European Sacred Landscape Network, an agreed methodology on the concept, history, classification and identity of European sacred landscapes is formulated. The outcomes of the project aim to provide guidelines and tools for enhanced decision-making on these landscapes.
