EUROPEAN CULTURE EXPRESSED IN SACRED LANDSCAPES

The ECSLAND vision is to consider the sacred landscapes of Europe as a fundamental part of our cultural heritage. The main goal of the project is to raise awareness with regard to how these extraordinary landscapes shape the identity and values of European people. In order to achieve this goal, the project aims to stimulate debate and share experiences amongst partners and local communities in dedicated workshops. The results from these meetings is applied to advance new methods for the study of history, classification and identity of different types of European sacred landscapes, with their related archaeology and architecture.
