CONTRIBUTION
By supporting intercultural and interreligious dialogue between European communities, the project forms a unique network to provide data collection, awareness-raising and results dissemination.
By stimulating discussion among stakeholders, local communities and scientists at European level, the project helps towards understanding the spiritual nature of European landscapes, tackling the challenging task of interpreting sacred landscape.
By considering sacred landscape and cultural heritage as interlinking expressions of European culture, greater attention is given to the need to sensitively manage and conserve these unique landscapes for the future generations of Europe.
As a result, the project intends to make a significant contribution to the implementation of the European Landscape Convention, EUROPE 2020 and other international policies for the future sustainable development of European sacred landscapes.
